ISI Hagenberg - International Studies in Informatics
The International Studies in Informatics (ISI-Hagenberg) will be a new international educational institution that offers master and bachelor degrees in informatics for international students. Based on the research and teaching expertise and international research reputation of the Johannes Kepler University in Linz and the Upper Austria University of Applied Sciences in Hagenberg, ISI-Hagenberg guarantees highest quality in its educational programs. In addition, to profound education in topical areas of informatics, ISI-Hagenberg provides "integral studies" (Middle European culture, history, philosophy, social program, etc.) for its students.
The PhD-program consists of literature studies, participation in 10 other courses of above-mentioned areas and intensive cooperation in a research project (possibly also an industrial project). In the course of that a dissertation will be penned.
FAW – Institute for Applied Knowledge Processing offers courses of studies in the fields of Informatics and Business Informatics at the Johannes Kepler University Linz.
The degree program for mathematics, informatics and mechatronics has a degree course scheme for two years, that is four semesters including the following courses, seminars etc...
The degree studies in symbolic computation consists of methodical part, furthermore of individual combination of 10 courses in the above mentioned areas. It also includes an active cooperation in a research project and completing diploma thesis.
